Detailed Information – 
Essential Qualification – 

1) A degree in Ayurveda from a Recognized University or Statutory State Board or Council
or Faculty of Indian Medicine recognized under the Indian Medicine Central Council
Act, 1970 (48 of 1970).

2) Enrolment on the Central Register of Indian Medicine or
State Register of Indian Medicine. NOTE-I: The crucial date for determining the age
limit shall be the closing date for receipt of applications. NOTE-II: The qualifications
are relaxable at the discretion of the for reasons Union Public Service Commission to
be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. NOTE- III: The
qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the Union
Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing in the case of
candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes if, at any stage of
selection, the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient
number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience
are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them.

(a) Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of the SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit card. (b) No fee for SC/ST/PH/Women candidates of any community. No “fee exemption” is available to OBC male candidates and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee. (c) Applications without the prescribed fee would not be considered and summarily rejected. No representation against such rejection would be entertained. (d) Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstance nor can the fee be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.
